Not many people know about the Twelve Apostles Temple, which is located at the foot of Polvani-Oba Mountain, moving from the direction of the village of Uyutnoe. Located near the Temple is the Port Tower (Astagvera).
The name of the Temple is associated with the ancient murals depicting Jesus Christ and the Twelve Apostles. Unfortunately, these murals have not come down to us, as the Temple was badly damaged during the war.
Historians established that the Temple belongs to the 12th – 15th c.c. Byzantine style buildings. The latest restoration was carried out in 2006.
