The Museum of Winemaking is located in an old building where Prince Lev Golitsyn lived for a long time. Prince Golitsyn can, with good reason, be considered the founder of viticulture and winemaking in Crimea, as, thanks to him, we can enjoy the wonderful taste of the Novy Svet champagne, which successfully competes with the best French sparkling wines.
The museum display occupies seven rooms. Guests get to know the history of champagne development in Novy Svet, as well as the specifics of champagne production process. The museum collection includes a number of interior items, which used to belong to the Prince’s family, and family photos. Each tour ends with a tasting of the wonderful Novy Svet champagne.
You can see the collection of sparkling wines on your own or make use of our guide’s services.
